The event started with Dua and a key note address from M.K.A. Ahamed khan at 3.00pm.During the key note address Dr. Ahamed khan briefed the audience [4 faculty staffs and 65 Engineering Degree level students, out of which 17 from Electrical division, 2 from Mechatronics , 8 from Electronics division ,33from Mechanical and the remaining from Civil engineering] about the role of IEEE, IEEERAS and the importance of attending the seminar. The main focus of this event is to expose the students regarding the strategies for bridging the gap between coursework/beginning research and thesis writing. Also to help one understand the rhetorical situation of the thesis proposal, common elements of such proposals, introduce practical rhetorical and grammatical principles of writing effective proposals and provide one with tips for drafting and revising individual sections of the proposal.
Dr.Muhammad Adil Khattak also briefed the audience the challenging task behind writing thesis. The importance of careful reading and reflective thinking about the research topic is well explained.
Engineering Students those involved in to thesis and final year project gained first hand knowledge about Thesis writing skills and strategies during this event. Overall the event helped one and all to become an effective Thesis writer.
